Love Culture Fashion Finds

I've been hanging on to a gift card from Love Culture for some time and figure I'd go browse their website today. Sadly I didn't find anything that really caught my eye. I did find some basic goodies such as black tops, white tanks, simple-toned scarves, and earthy jewelry. Check out my likes below:
I really liked this messenger for daily day use, maybe for going to the library, running errands, or to pack some things for the weekend. The scarf caught my eye because of its classic and modern print style. I think squarish-round glasses suit me the best because I have a round face shape, anything too round or too small in frame is a no-no for me :). I also liked this casual black and white striped top to go with some leggings and wear walking out on the lake one day, if it ever gets sunny here in Seattle. I also thought this lacey white top would be cute with jeans, of course with another white tank underneath to keep things modest.

Well, these two tops are pretty similar to the ones I had just mentioned above lol. I'll just note that I think the peekaboo shoulders is a cute trend right now and that the front shirring of the white tank elongates us petite girls so that's why I picked these two. The FedUp with Boys shirt and Stop Looking at Me shirt, I thought was pretty unique and funny sayings but I don't know if I'd actually wear these out, lol. Just thought I'd share them. Would you wear these out?

I loooove these jewelries! I'm going to look for them next time I'm at the mall ;). I love the half shell silver necklace because it reminds me of the Philppine Islands. Growing up as a child, my cousins and I would all pick out the prettiest shells on the beach and save them as souvenirs . I also really like the silver bow ring as it shows my feminine side and the leaf ring shows my more simple, care-free side. The bracelet is pretty funky yet still remains in the simple-earthy category with a touch of rockerish with its thickness and metal chains. Has anyone bought jewelry or even clothes at Love Culture before, how do you think their quality holds up? Does it rust? Fall apart?

Last but not least, I picked out a few cool-toned scarves I thought would look good and keep you toasty on a casual day. I love scarves because they elongate your body. Black is also slimming, so I chose this cotton cardigan, long cotton shirt, and cotton leggings to possibly pair with the scarves or even for just basic essentials. Hope you like my picks and I'd also love to see your picks :).

Tuna Melt Sandwich Recipe

Tonight I made myself a delicious Tuna Melt Sammy, lol I made a pun! A Tuna Melt Sandwich is something anyone can whip up in 5-10 minutes.

All you need for this recipe is:
  • canned tuna (1 or more)
  • onion (1/2 or more of 1)
  • mayo
  • wheat bread
  • slice of mild cheddar cheese
  • teaspoon of butter
  • pepper, salt or Johnny's seasoning, and
  • a pickle for a side snack.
1. First you want to chop up the onion into thick or thin pieces, it really just depends on your taste. I kind of just slice the onion thinly then chop it casually so I have assorted bite size pieces.

2. Second, combine the drained tuna, onion, and mayo in a bowl or tupperware if you want to save some for later and mix everything thoroughly so that each piece of tuna is nicely covered with mayo. Now, the amount of mayo again just depends on your taste. Put less if you prefer a more tuna and onion taste and don't mind it being that dry (of course you can just add some olive oil to kill the dryness), or put more if you like your sandwiches with a thinner spread. Salt and pepper to taste.

3. Next, you want to coat your frying pan with butter under medium heat. The trick here is to use a large enough pan that you can flip your sandwich easily without breaking it apart or, use a toaster oven ;). Now once that heat is going, make your sandwich with the tuna and the cheese and place on pan. Fry each side until cheese looks melted and bread is browned. Place on plate with pickle and viola! You're done. Enjoy!
